MICHIGAN TEAMS VISITS WHITMER MATMEN IN NON-LEAGUE MATCHES
The Whitmer wrestlers were overcome by Arian High School 32-13 January 7 in the Whitmer High Boys Gym. The winning matmen for Whitmer were Dan Apling, Dave Ansted, and Len Schafer.
The matmen regained their winning power by swamping another Michigan school - - Thurston 31-8 in the Panthrs home gym January 9.
The winners for the panthers were Dave Ansted, Dave Apling, Ray Houttekier, Tom Matzinger, Norm Lehman, Len Schafer, Louie Kunzler, Dan Apling, and John Zurkel.
The matmen now boast a 3-2 ovreall record having won over Rogers and Clay, losing to Adrian and Ypsilanti and the acquisition over Thurston.
